Sun Mountain Wins 5 Golf Digest Hot List Awards for Best Golf Bags

Five Sun Mountain golf bags have been awarded 2019 Golf Digest Hot List awards for best golf bags.

The 2019 Golf Digest Hot List panelists reviewed 93 golf bags and awarded 34 as the best golf bags in four categories: Carry, Lightweight, Hybrid and Cart.

Hot List Gold for Best Golf Carry Bag is the Sun Mountain H2NO Superlight.

Sun Mountain was the first to introduce a waterproof golf bag and the H2NO Superlight is the newest and lightest waterproof golf bag.

The new 2.5+ 14-way was awarded Hot List Silver for Best Golf Carry Bag. The editors’ said, …”Fourteen-way dividers aren’t for everyone, but it’s impressive that Sun Mountain was able to implement that feature in a bag that weighs around four pounds.”

Hot List Gold for Best Lightweight Golf Bag was awarded to the Sun Mountain 2.5 + golf bag. Sun Mountain Improves Its Lightest Golf Bag

Best Sunday Golf Bag

What is a Sunday golf bag?

A Sunday bag is a lightweight golf bag meant to be easier to carry and typically smaller than a standard golf bag; intended to carry a limited number of clubs and the bare minimum of accessories.

The name originated back in the day when most people observed the Sabbath and weren’t allowed to work on Sundays, including caddies. The lack of caddies meant golfers had to carry their own bags so they opted for a smaller/lighter bag.

A typical Sunday bag has a smaller diameter top, fewer club dividers, and no structure, that is, no solid base and no side supports. Some have one rigid support and are referred to as ‘pencil’ bags.
