Four Qualify for Sun Mountain Skills Challenge

Congratulations to LPGA Futures Tour players Amy Eneroth, Ashley Prange, Brittany Johnston, and Benedikte Grotvedt for advancing to the finals of the Sun Mountain Skills Challenge.

LPGA Futures Tour players who wear Sun Mountain golf outerwear or carry a Sun Mountain golf bag make up the initial field of skills challenge competitors.  These players then compete, “Big Break-style”, to narrow the field to the final four.

This year 20 players began the Sun Mountain Skills Challenge by executing a 75-yard shot, a chip shot, a bunker shot and an over-the-wall shot.  These events narrowed the field to 10, who then had a putting contest to narrow the field to four.

The Final-4 Skills Summit will be held during the week of the Vidalia Championship August 26 – 28, with the winner of the Sun Mountain Skills Summit earning $1000.

 

Ferrero Carries Sun Mountain Bag to Victory at Teva Championship

Lisa Ferrero won the Teva Championship with a 6-under 207 total

Congratulations to Lisa Ferrero on carrying a Superlight 3.5 bag to victory at the Teva Championship presented by Time Warner Cable. This is Ferrero’s second win of the season and lands her at the top of the LPGA Futures Tour money list.

Ferrero took the lead in round one and never looked back as she went on to win the $135,000 Teva Championship with rounds of 66-70-71 for a 6-under 207 total.

Ferrero’s is not the only fan of the Superlight 3.5, Golf Digest awarded the lightweight golf bag a Hot List Gold earlier this year with judges saying that the Superlight 3.5 is ‘the latest chapter from a company with a history of smart carry bags focused on details’. Sun Mountain Wins Hot List Gold!

Best Golf Bags – Sun Mountain Wins Hot List Gold!

Golf Digest’s 2011 Golf Bag Hot List is out and we are proud to announce that two of our bags were awarded Hot List Gold!

From 77 bags, the editors who make up the Hot List judges panel deemed only eight worthy of Gold. What an honor that two of those eight are Sun Mountain golf bags.

Our Gold winners are the Superlight 3.5 carry bag and the C-130 cart bag. Our Swift X ultra-lightweight carry bag was also recognized with a Silver award.
